1. Who we are
   Truck Companion is provided by Hamikato Technologies LLC. Contact us at support@hamikato.com.

2. Information the app handles
   Depending on the features you use, Truck Companion may handle profile details; truck and trailer information; trips, fuel, expenses, maintenance, inspections, documents, notes, reminders, photos, receipts, load-planning inputs, settings, language choices, onboarding progress, feedback, and support messages.

3. Local-first storage
   The private beta is designed primarily for local device storage. It does not require a Truck Companion account and does not automatically upload your operational records to Hamikato Technologies. If cloud accounts, fleet sharing, or automatic synchronization are introduced later, we will explain the change before enabling it.

4. Information you choose to transmit
   You may choose to create backups, share files, send diagnostic reports, or submit feedback. Feedback and support information may be retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or support purposes. Please do not include information that is not needed to resolve your request. Purchases, if offered, are processed by Apple or Google under their own privacy practices.

5. Device permissions
   The app may request camera or photo-library access for receipts, documents, inspections, and equipment photos, and notification permission for reminders. The private beta does not require precise location access.

6. How we use information
   We use information to provide and maintain the app, protect its security, improve usability, support users, evaluate the private beta, process purchases, prevent abuse, comply with law, and send communications you request. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use in-app operational records for advertising.

7. When information may be disclosed
   Information may be disclosed at your direction; to service providers working for us under appropriate restrictions; when required by law or needed to protect safety and rights; or as part of a lawful merger, acquisition, financing, or sale.

8. Retention and deletion
   Local app information remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall it, subject to your device backups. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information held by us by emailing support@hamikato.com.

9. Security
   We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no device, storage method, or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Children
    Truck Companion is intended for adults and professional drivers. It is not directed to children under 13, and users must be at least 18 or the age of legal majority where they live.

11. Privacy rights
    Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of certain personal information. Contact support@hamikato.com to make a request.

12. International use
    Hamikato Technologies is based in the United States. Information you send to us may be processed in the United States.

13. Changes to this policy
    We may update this policy as the product changes. We will post the revised date and explain material changes rather than silently expanding how information is used.
