September field notes: a clearer load planner

The latest work on Truck Companion focuses on details that matter in a working day: clear measurements, dependable saved plans, and smoother navigation.

Clearer dimensions

Planner and Garage lengths now display explicitly in feet or metres. A 53-foot trailer should read 53 ft, or about 16.2 m with metric units. Load-handle lengths use the same formatting.

More careful draft recovery

Planner autosave waits until a saved draft has restored successfully. If restoration needs another attempt, a retry keeps that failure from silently replacing the existing plan.

Smoother movement between screens

Swipe-back navigation stays available except during an active load-handle drag. This removes an unnecessary gesture restriction tied to an older position setting.

What is being tested now

The current iOS 0.9.2 build 27 was submitted to TestFlight. Apple processing and tester availability are not confirmed here. Physical-device checks remain in progress, including saved weights, length labels, and navigation before and after dragging.

Truck Companion remains in controlled testing; this is a development update, not a public App Store launch. ELD and shared fleet prototypes are outside the current release.

Built around the full working day

The app brings together equipment, documents, inspections, maintenance, trips, fuel, expenses, and practical planning tools. Core records work offline, with local backup and restore under your control.
